Discover the People, Places and Stories of Coigach
A living archive of local memory, history and tradition.
Coigach Heritage is a community group dedicated to preserving and sharing the history, stories and traditions of the Coigach peninsula. From oral histories to photographs, Gaelic culture, and crofting and fishing life.
About Coigach Heritage
A public monument by internationally acclaimed local artists Will Maclean and Marian Leven is planned to commemorate the events of 1852/3 when the people of Coigach successfully resisted the serving of summons to remove from their land.
The project is in the final fundraising push so that construction can begin Autumn 2025.
