Fundraising Art Auction Bidding Form and Terms & Conditions

Thank you for your interest in the artwork. The following are standard Terms and Conditions; please read them carefully. By making a bid you indicate your acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. If you do not accept these terms and conditions, please do not make a bid.

DATE OF FUNDRAISING AUCTION

The fundraising auction will take place:

1) online from 14 April 2024 until 4pm on 28 April 2024

2) in-person at Coigach Community Hall from 12 noon until 4pm on 28 April 2024

PLACING BIDS

Bids can be placed online from 14 April 2024 until 4pm on 28 April 2024 OR in-person at Coigach Community Hall from 12 noon until 4pm on 28 April 2024 by posting a bidding form into a locked box. All bids will be collated once the auction ends at 4pm on 28 April 2024.

ACCEPTANCE OF BIDS

All bids shall be treated as offers made upon the conditions of sale. Submitting your bid is a commitment to buy and is legally binding.

The highest bidder shall be the Purchaser.

Coigach Heritage has the right to refuse any bid at our absolute discretion.

Coigach Heritage accepts no liability for any failure or delay on placing bids or any errors contained in bids placed via the online bidding form. It is the responsibility of the prospective Bidder/Purchaser to ensure the correct details are entered when completing an online form. By choosing to use our online bidding form you agree that you are doing so entirely at your own risk.

The sale will be conducted in GBP and any international Bidder/Purchaser will be responsible for all exchange rate differences that may occur at any time.

VIEWING OF LOTS

All lots are available to view online from 14th to 28th April 2024 or within Coigach Community Hall on 28th April 2024.

PAYMENT

Successful purchasers will be contacted by close of business on 29 April 2024 with details for making payment.

Payment must be made by 4pm on 2 May 2024.

COLLECTION

Successful purchasers must collect their item in person from the Coigach Community Hall once payment has been made.

Collection is to be arranged and carried out by the end of May 2024, or by special arrangement with us.

The buyer shall be responsible for all packing for the purchased property.

REPRESENTATIONS IN ONLINE CATALOGUE

Descriptions or illustrations in the catalogue or advertisements are for guidance only and are not to be relied upon for accuracy. We have attempted to represent the artworks as accurately as possible with the information provided by the artists or donors. Intending purchasers must satisfy themselves by inspection or otherwise as to the condition or authenticity of any lot.

Coigach Heritage is not responsible for the correctness of any statement as to origin, date, age, attribution, genuineness or provenance of any lot.

Coigach Heritage is not responsible for any defects in any lot.
